HIKING THE RUBY MOUNTAINS This is a Great site on the Rubies. There is a ton of information on the Ruby Mountians and the East Humbolt around Angel Lake. If you are going to hike these areas and have not already checked out this site make sure you do.

Backcountry.Com's Planning for a Backpacking Trip- I was turned onto this site by some kind folks at W.B. Goodwin Community Center. This site has a lot of great information on how to plan your next trip.
Washington Trails Association - This site has a lot of information about hiking in general and hiking in Washington State.
Active Fire Report is a great site that will give you information on fire conditions in the area. I use this site to get an idea if there is any smoke on the way.
Wilderness Survival Guide - A lot of info for when things do not go as planned.
Here are some good places to go for gear.
Cedar Creek is a local brick and mortar store that carries brand name backing packing gear at reasonable prices. It is the place to go if you need something in a pinch or want some advice on gear. My purchases here have been numerable.
Osprey makes high quality packs. My four Osprer packs have served me well through the years.
Platypus is a great way to carry that extra water.
REI is a great place for quality gear.
Sierra Trading Post has some great deals.
Campmor - These guys have everything.
Elko Chamber of Commerce - The officail site of the Elko Chamber of Commerce.
Ruby Mountain Radio has information about what is going on in Elko.
